Most of us are sincerely looking for more support with our inner struggles and the challenges of family life. Over this 4-Week Series, we will recognize that many of the aspects of family life we hold as very private and personal (sometimes shameful or embarrassing) are more universal than we realized.
Parents: In this dive into our most precious, tender, and challenging role – that of mother or father – you will be redefining your role with your adolescent children towards one that “works”; has meaning, and creates health and strength in your relationship.
Adolescents: So far, having parents has probably been your most challenging/frustrating relationship (it is also hopefully your most important and supportive one). This class is a chance to deepen into your own sense of agency and ability to be seen & known as you want to be.
Our first and final dates we will meet together as parents and kids. In between, we will have one evening that is just for parents to do their work, and another where teens can do theirs—this offers a level of safety and protection that will maximize depth and movement but also support connection and transparency.
