It is time to believe in the power of the individual to heal the community and the community to heal the individual. Thus, we do our work in groups and surrender the problems we believe to be personal to the collective.
Lexi offers three different modes for group work, check them out:
Coming together in a group to do our personal work can be a more rapid and effective mode than doing a 1-on-1 session, because of the support of the group. Together we start breaking patterns of isolation – the dissolution of inaccurate beliefs about ourselves is the remedy to that isolation.
We are challenging the paradigm that our hurt places, wounds, and “stuff” are to be hidden – by sharing all of ourselves, not just the good/happy/ lovable parts. This proves to be liberating because, in the process, we discover how alike we are – even in our darkest corners. Being seen in our vulnerability and loved anyway is one of the life changing experiences participants feel has been the most impact and healing.
Anything we do, when done together, has more potency
—yes, even our “personal” work.
In the past I felt isolated or disconnected; I don’t go there anymore. I get that we’re all working whatever we’re working here – together.
